Kunst komt uit het leven voort en houdt ons een spiegel voor. Wat heeft zij ons
te vertellen?
Anne Berk heeft een opleiding in beeldhouwen en kunstgeschiedenis.
Als publicist, tentoonstellingsmaker, filmer en bevlogen spreker
deelt ze haar kennis en enthousiasme voor hedendaagse kunst met het publiek.
Ze organiseert gesprekken over kunst in tentoonstellingen en ateliers in
KunstNaderBekeken. Ze werkt mee aan de verzamelaarscursus MyFirstArtCollection,
Bougies Art Foundation en is vertegenwoordiger van het Europese Sculpture Network.
Anne Berk schreef zo’n duizend artikelen voor Kunstbeeld, Het Financieele Dagblad,
Beelden en Museumtijdschrift. Ze is auteur van Bodytalk, de nieuwe figuratie in de
Nederlandse beeldhouwkunst (Waanders, 2004) over de omslag van abstracte naar
figuratieve kunst in relatie tot de veranderde tijdgeest.
Ze maakte een tentoonstelling over dit onderwerp voor Museum Beelden aan Zee.
Nu werkt ze aan een vervolg in internationale context, In Search of Meaning, the
Human Figure in Contemporary Sculpture.
Anne Berk is a respected Dutch art critic. She is trained in sculpture and art history.
She likes to share her knowledge and passion for the arts with the public,
in articles,
live or in short films on YouTube.
She is a much sought after lecturer and set up her
own contemporary art course, KunstNaderBekeken. She also contributes to
MyFirstArtCollection and Bougie Art Foundation.
She is actively involved in the European Sculpture Network.
Anne Berk is the author of more than a thousand articles and a number of monographs
for art magazines and newspapers such as Kunstbeeld and Het Financieele Dagblad.
She wrote a book about the shift from abstract to figurative art in Dutch sculpture in
the context of changes in society.
The book is titled Bodytalk, de nieuwe figuratie in de Nederlandse beeldhouwkunst van
de jaren negentig (Waanders, 2004). She curated an exhibition on this topic in Museum
Beelden aan Zee, Scheveningen. She is now working on a follow-up, entitled In Search
of Meaning, the Human Figure in Contemporary Sculpture.
